Raymond, MS—Clay Purcell, Vice President of Lending at Merchants & Planters Bank and manager of their Clinton branch, was recently commended by the bank’s board of directors for successfully completing studies at the Mississippi School of Banking.

        A native of Ruleville, Purcell is a 2005 graduate of Mississippi State University with a Bachelors of Business Administration in Banking and Finance.

        Purcell is a member of the Clinton and Raymond Chambers of Commerce. He and his wife Ann attend Christ United Methodist Church
